Mark Higgins took on the Isle of Man TT course once again and set a new lap record with a time of 17 minutes and 35.139 seconds, and an average speed of 128.730mph! His average speed is higher than the top speed of my 2001 RS on a straightaway down a damn hill.
New on this car, as Mark describes in the video, is a Drag Reduction System (DRS) built into the rear wing. Higgins operates this piece of technology manually during the course, adding another insane difficulty and concentration element to the run. The My favorite part is him describing how nice the car is in the corners at 170 mph. Corners… at 170 freaking miles per hour. Enjoy the video.
